Official Cobra Kai Season 4 Trailer Brings Back Terry Silver

The official Cobra Kai Season 4 trailer is here and it looks SO good! Back in August, a teaser trailer for Season 4 dropped, but it didn’t tell us much, but now I can confidently say that the full trailer delivers quite the punch. Literally!

Cobra Kai is so popular partly due to nostalgia and partly due to fantastic writing and kickass fight scenes. Well, fans should get ready because the trailer delivered a huge blast from the past! Terry Silver (played by Thomas Ian Griffith) is back to wreak havoc on Mr. Miyagi’s teachings once more! Terry Silver first appeared in The Karate Kid III as Kreese’s Vietnam War buddy and wealthy businessman who founded Cobra Kai back in the 80s. While the movie itself was poorly received and not really worth watching, the important takeaway of the film that fans should know is that Silver wormed his way into Mr. Miyagi and Daniel’s relationship, offering to “train” Daniel and ultimately turning him into a brutal and violent fighter.

This is likely to deepen the rift between the two dojos, especially because Johnny’s Cobra Kai and Daniel’s Miyago-do have teamed up and are trying to find a balance of style from both. Kreese’s Cobra Kai is already full of kids who are harboring bitter feelings of rejection and hate, so adding fuel to that fire is going to result in some serious damage. In addition, it looks like Robby Keene (played by Tanner Buchanan) is taking on more of a leadership role with Kreese’s Cobra Kai and he’s definitely out for revenge, especially because he feels betrayed by pretty much everyone. I’m not discounting any random fights breaking out at school or on the streets, but the trailer feels like everything is going to come to a head during the All Valley Karate Tournament and it’s not going to be pretty.
